DAT DAT oppretter Volidisicilia, og vinner PSO kontrakt i Italia

Check-In.dk melder:

As this are only summer routes, could them be really PSO-routes?
It is a little strange ...

From what I understand, these are not PSO routes?

I'm pretty sure you're right.
It's very unlikely that they are PSO routes. Brindisi is a popular place for the Italians to have their holiday, so it's very likely that DAT will try to get some holiday traffic.

You are both right.
According to Italian infos, this are mainly tour-operator routes.

They fill the gaps between the PSO flights, I guess. In any case, this is good news for DAT. It's interesting to see how many countries that have PSO-flights. In the EU there are 12 countries with such routes. https://simpleflying.com/public-serv...are-protected/

I knew about Greece and Portugal, and could probably have thought of it being beneficial to remote regions of the UK (and they are leaving the EU soon). I am also familiar with the Norwegian system too obviously.
