Det gikk vel relativt bra om "bare" 1 ble skadet under evakueringen? Interessant at alle ble bekymret først når de så redningsmannskapene på bakken

Ja, kom en halvmeter til i natt med paafoelgende fall i temperaturen til -10 grader og sol. De forsoeker aa hente seg inn paa O'Hare som har fungert som hotell for mange i natt...

Og her er NTSB preliminary. Ser ut til at UA har glemt aa fylle olje paa Prattn og at en tulling tryna utenfor sliden og slo seg noe voldsomt
NTSB Identification: CHI08FA050 Scheduled 14 CFR Part 121: Air Carrier operation of United Airlines Inc Accident occurred Friday, December 14, 2007 in Chicago, IL Aircraft: Boeing 777-222, registration: N220UA Injuries: 1 Serious, 263 Uninjured. This is preliminary information, subject to change, and may contain errors. Any errors in this report will be corrected when the final report has been completed. On December 14, 2007, at 1555 central standard time, a Boeing 777-222, N220UA, operated by United Airlines as flight 836, sustained minor damage when smoke entered the cabin during approach for landing at O'Hare International Airport (ORD), Chicago, Illinois. The international air carrier flight was being conducted under 14 CFR Part 121 on an instrument flight rules flight plan. One passenger was seriously injured during the subsequent emergency evacuation. The remaining 248 passengers, 11 cabin crew members, and 4 flight crew members were not injured. The flight departed Pudong International Airport (PVG), Shanghai, China, about 0800 universal coordinated time. ORD was the intended destination. The crew reported that smoke began to fill the passenger cabin, beginning from the rear of the airplane, about 10 miles from the airport. The concentration of the smoke increased and the captain subsequently declared an emergency. The flight landed on runway 10 and exited at taxiway M5. At that point the captain ordered an emergency evacuation. The initial post accident inspection revealed a low oil quantity in the right engine. Metallic deposits were observed on one of the engine chip detectors. In addition, oil deposits were located in the compressor section of the engine. No evidence of an engine or cabin fire was observed. |

Hvordan kan du tolke det slik at de har GLEMT å fylle olje, fremfor at det har vært en lekkasje?
