Wizzair har som kjent bestilt 20 A321XLR gjennom deres eier Indigo Partners. Til nå har det vært kjent at når maskinene kommer i 2023, er planen å ha lik konfigurasjon som deres A321neo. Altså 239 seter i en all-economy konfigurasjon.

Noen har spekulert i om de da skal dukke på på transatlantisk, men Wizzair sjefen sier i dag de ikke har noen planer om dette. Derimot trekker han frem London-Dubai og Budapest-India som gode kandidater til flyet
