In order to provide a higher-quality travel experience for customers on our p.s.® premium transcontinental flights, we have made the decision to move our p.s. service from New York JFK to Newark Liberty International Airport. Effective October 25, all of our p.s. flights between New York and both Los Angeles and San Francisco will operate out of our hub at Newark, and we'll discontinue our service out of JFK.

With this change, we'll offer near-hourly p.s. flights out of Newark to both Los Angeles and San Francisco, increasing our p.s. service from six to as many as 15 flights per day between the New York area and Los Angeles and from seven to as many as 17 flights per day between New York and San Francisco. Our p.s. flights feature recently renovated aircraft with modern interiors and offer flat-bed seats and premium inflight service in United BusinessFirst®, along with inflight Wi-Fi, seatback on-demand entertainment and power ports for customers in both BusinessFirst and United Economy®.

Overall, the expansion of our p.s. service with its move to Newark will allow us to offer better facilities, easier connections and more frequent service for our p.s. customers. We have made and continue to make significant investments in our hubs at Newark, Los Angeles and San Francisco to bring our customers a premium airport experience that aligns with our premium transcontinental service. We launched an ultra-modern boarding area in San Francisco in 2014, and we've started work to completely remodel our facility at LAX, scheduled for completion in 2017.

At Newark, we're overhauling our entire terminal, from the lobby and check-in areas all the way through to the gates. You'll already see upgraded food, beverage and retail options, with iPads for placing orders and staying connected. We've also expanded our options for flight connections at Newark, including our recently upgraded widebody service across the Atlantic to Berlin, Hamburg, Madrid and Barcelona.

Moving and expanding our p.s. service will truly elevate the United transcontinental travel experience, and we're excited for our customers to see the benefits that this will bring. (UNQUOTE)
