TRAFFIC DEVELOPMENT
The total number of passengers flown in March 2013 was 1 439 943 compared to 1 362 830 last year, an increase of 77 113 passengers (6 %).
Compared to the same period last year:
 Total passenger traffic (RPK) increased by 20%
 Total capacity (ASK) increased by 20 %
 The load factor was 77.6 %, up 0.1 p.p.
The increase in passenger traffic, production and passengers is related to the Group’s expansion in established markets and to the introduction of new routes from April 2012 to March 2013, as well as adjustments to production capacity.
The average flying distance for the Group increased by 14 % in March compared to the same period last year.

PASSENGER REVENUES
The unit revenue (RASK) is estimated at 0.42 for the period (3 %).

OPERATING PERFORMANCE
In March the Group operated 99.8 % of its scheduled flights, whereof 82.7 % departed on time.


HEDGE POSITIONS
The Group has entered into term contracts and options during the period. By the end of March the Group estimates a quarter-to-date gain of approximately MNOK 241 related to the hedge positions. Quarter-to-date disagio on USD denominated loans was MNOK 228 by the end of March.

God trafikkvekst for Norwegian i mars måned

Trafikkveksten fortsatte for Norwegian i mars måned. Selv med en kraftig økning i setekapasiteten er flyene like fulle som før. Norwegian-passasjerene flyr også mye lengre strekninger nå enn tidligere.

I mars fløy 1 439 943 passasjerer med Norwegian, en økning på 77 113 passasjerer eller 6 prosent sammenlignet med mars i fjor. Setekapasiteten økte med 20 prosent denne måneden, mens kabinfaktoren holdt seg stabil med 77,6 prosent. Norwegian-passasjerene flyr nå mye lenger enn tidligere, med en økt snittdistanse på 14 prosent for mars.

- Vi har hatt mange flere seter å tilby kundene våre i mars i år sammenlignet med samme måned i fjor. At vi har fylt opp setene vi har satt i produksjon er det beste bevis på at kundene verdsetter tilbudet, sier administrerende direktør Bjørn Kjos.

Selskapet opererte 99,8 prosent av de planlagte flygningene i denne måneden, hvorav 82,7 prosent gikk på oppsatt rutetid.
