Overall, the competition and capacity in the Nordic market intensified combined with a slowdown in the growth during the end of calendar year 2013. Although SAS has focused on defending its yield, as expected, this development has continued in the first quarter of the 2013/2014 financial year with a negative yield/PASK and low growth. Demand continues to be strongest on intercontinental routes and relatively stable on routes within Scandinavia, while weaker on European routes.
Currency adjusted yield in December 2013 was down 6.9% and PASK* was down 8,1% versus previous year, weak as expected. In January 2014, the change in yield and PASK vs. last year will continue to be negative.
Scandinavian Airlines scheduled traffic development
SAS continued to grow its capacity to, from and within the Norwegian and Swedish markets in January resulting in a growth in customer numbers by more than 5%. Intercontinental traffic increased in January by 2.9% and was particularly strong on the USA routes with a 16% growth. On European/Intrascandinavian routes, capacity increased 2.1% but traffic was down 1.2%. On domestic routes, traffic was up 0.6% with strongest development on Norwegian routes.

Tja. I stil med tidligere måneders traffikktall. Svakt ned på trafikkutvikling. Fall i yield og
PASK. Får håpe fallet er større i CASK enn i
PASK. Markedet ser dog ut til å reagere positivt.
SAS aksjen er i skrivende stund opp 3 % på Oslo Børs, så markedet har kanskje forventet enda verre tall...
