Singapore utsetter leveransen av de 8 siste 380

Etter at en rekke selskaper som f.eks AF, TG, MH og QF har utsatt leveransene av deler eller hele Airbus 380 ordrene sine, offentligjorde Singapore Airlines idag at de utsetter leveransen av de 8 siste med mellom 6 og 12 måneder. Fly nummer 10 og 11 som er planlagt levert i år, vil bli levert etter planen

SINGAPORE AIRLINES AND AIRBUS AGREE REVISED A380 DELIVERY SCHEDULE

Singapore Airlines and Airbus have agreed on a revised delivery schedule for eight A380 aircraft on firm order.

Under the new schedule, deliveries will take place between six months and 12 months later than originally planned, for the Airline’s 12th A380 through to the 19th.

The revised schedule will see the 12th aircraft delivered in October 2010 rather than April 2010, while the 19th aircraft will be delivered in January 2012 rather than January 2011.

SIA currently operates nine A380s with two more due for delivery this financial year. The revised schedule will not affect these two aircraft.

SIA is satisfied with the operational and commercial performance of its A380s, which have proved to be popular with customers since the inaugural service on the Singapore-Sydney route nearly two years ago. SIA currently flies the A380 twice a day to London, and daily to Sydney, Tokyo, Paris and Hong Kong, and starting from 29 September to Melbourne as well.

Hmm... Airbus har jo ikke klart å få til så mange leveranser pr år hittil. Blir det igjen noen kunder til å ta imot A380 neste år nå da... LH kanskje?

Emirates, Qantas, Air France, Singapore og Lufthansa skal alle motta 1 eller flere 380 i 2010. Itillegg så mener jeg den første til Korean også skal bli levert i 2010
