NON-STOP FLIGHTS TO KURESAARE IN ESTONIA


Finnair is launching non-stop flights from Helsinki to Kuresaare, the main town on the beautiful Estonian island of Saaremaa. The flights, operated twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays, will cut the flight time from Finland to just 55 minutes. The same trip by ferry and road can take up to seven hours.

Travel to Saaremaa from Finland is becoming increasingly popular, not least because of the growing and improving spa holiday option, to which access will now be faster and more flexible. The number of Finns with summer homes and other leisure time accommodation on the island is also increasing. Companies operating in Saaremaa will now have good connections through Helsinki to the rest of the world.

The new route will be flown next summer from May 19 until September 11 by Finnair’s Estonian subsidiary Aero on 68-seat ATR-72 aircraft. Departures are at 10.35 from Helsinki, arriving at Kuresaare at 11.30. Departure from Kuresaare is at 11.55, with arrival at Helsinki at 12.50.

Kuresaare is a picturesque small town, where visitors will receive great value for money in terms of services and facilities. The airport is small but pleasant and functional. Aero flies to Estonia with eight flights daily on weekdays and five at weekends between Helsinki and Tallinn, with the Finnair AY code and under the wing of Finnair’s commercial responsibility-
