My Way Airlines?
Aldri hørt om disse gutta. Må forsøke å finne mer. i "About" ser jeg at de ikke har startet ennå, men regner med å komme i drift fra desember 2004. |

Helt klart bedre enn et dinosaur-navn som f.eks. Southern and Northeastern Italian Airways....

mer info om MyAir:
Bergamo budget start-up Myair plans December launch Aimee Turner, London (11Nov04, 18:04 GMT, 314 words) Details will be formally unveiled tomorrow of Italian start-up Myair.com’s plans to launch budget flights out of Orio al Serio at Bergamo, near Milan using Airbus narrowbodies. Myair is scheduled to launch operations on December 17 on domestic routes to Brindisi, Catania and Napoli; and international flights to Madrid and Bucharest. The company is also proposing to extend operations to Madrid and Barcelona from Venice in the near future. It will launch operations with a fleet of three Airbus A320s. It plans to add another of the type in February and could expand to a six-strong fleet by April. Its business plan envisages growing the fleet to eight by the end of next year. “Growth will be supported by the efforts of Myair to position itself as an airline of reference in the Italian low cost sector,” says a company spokesman. Former Italian transport minister Carlo Bernini will head the new airline as president. Bernini, who was transport minister between 1989 and 1992, acknowledges the European low cost sector is not enjoying its “most favourable season” and that European air travel is increasingly defined by competition. But he says Myair will rely on the strength of its management team and the operational advantages of a modern same-type fleet, focusing on the lucrative northern Italian regions while not neglecting the potential of the south. The senior management team also includes two former Volare executives. Former finance director Merrick Adelstein, credited as one of the architects of budget carrier Volareweb, will be managing director. Former Volare Group commercial director Edgardo Badiali, will be general manager and commercial director for Myair. A co-founder of the European Low Fare Airlines Association, Badiali previously worked for Indian airline Jet Airways as VP responsible for in-flight services and catering. Myair also plans to develop tourist charter operations at weekends, focussed on the Mediterranean and short and medium range tourist destinations. Source: Air Transport Intelligence news |
