Air Tahiti Nui velger Dreamliner

French Polynesian flag carrier Air Tahiti Nui has confirmed that will replace its five-strong Airbus A340 quad-engine jet fleet with four Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. The airline will buy two aircraft and lease two others in a deal valued at $514 million.

The carrier had been looking at the 787, the A330neo and A350 for its fleet upgrade. Delivery of the first aircraft will start in the fourth quarter of 2018, which will coincide with Air Tahiti Nui’s 20th anniversary.
