Royal Schiphol Group has announced its chief operating officer Hanne Buis will exit the job on February 1 due to a “difference of opinion” over the “operational management” of Amsterdam Airport Schiphol.

The Group said in a press release on January 21 that its management board and supervisory board had attempted to resolve the matter, but “it was not possible”.

It stated: “As a result, the Supervisory Board sees no other option then to terminate the employment contract with Hanne Buis.

Mellom USA og Kina er jo et av få markeder hvor det ennå er begrensing i trafikken, men til høsten dobles antall slot, fra 12 til 24 ukentlige, for selskaper fra hvert land. Dog er det ennå en brøkdel av hva trafikken var på tidligere, som blant annet bidrar til mye tranfer vi Korea, Japan og Hong Kong

The U.S. Transportation Department (USDOT) said it would will increase the number of Chinese passenger flights allowed to fly to the U.S. to 18 weekly round-trips on Sept. 1 and increase that to 24 per week starting Oct. 29 , up from the current 12.

It said the Chinese government will agree to the same increase for American carriers, confirming a decision reported earlier by Reuters.

London Gatwick Airport is set to cancel approximately 82 departures in the coming week due to a shortage of air traffic controllers resulting from sickness and Covid-19. Around 30% of the air traffic control staff are unavailable, and discussions will determine which flights to cancel, with affected airlines proportionally based on their usage of the airport.
