Cimber Air har for kort tid siden været nødt til at foretage en sikkerhedslanding i Københavns Lufthavn i Kastrup.

Nødlandingen, som blev gennemført uden problemer, fandt sted kl. 14.45.

Aircraft incident at Copenhagen Airport

Cimber Air performed a problem-free safety landing at Copenhagen Airport at 2:45 p.m. today, Thursday, May 29. The incident involved a Cimber Air aircraft, operated on behalf of SAS, flying between Copenhagen and Tampere.

After take off from Copenhagen Airport, tire remains from the aircraft that had just departed were discovered on the runway. For this reason, the captain decided to return to Copenhagen. After performing two low-pass flights, it was established that the inner-right tire of a main wheel (of a total of four main wheels) had lost its outer tread.

The standard procedure in such a case is for a landing to be performed as a safety landing. Approach and landing took place normally without any further problems.

The aircraft operated on this route was a CRJ 200 LR registered as OY-RJG. A total of 41 passengers and three cabin-crew members were onboard the aircraft.
