Monarch is not bankrupt. The fiscal/financial condition of
MON is not (and never was) in question. The future ownership is. If you were selling a car, and the insurance/
MOT/road tax was up just before you sold it...it would be pointless to invest more finance. Hope this makes sense.
Regarding the ATOL licence, that is only required for 5% of our business. In other words, we can still operate perfectly fine without it. It's just after last year's fiasco, it's an easy story for the media to blow up
As for the Qatar A320s, they're not for us as we're continuing operations. Unless the
CAA have taken it upon themselves to yet again waste millions of tax payer's money, but I very much doubt it.
