Etihad reduserte tapet på driften fra $1,4 mrd til $476 mill i 2021. Dette var faktisk bedre enn de $802 mill de tapte i 2019

EBITDA endte faktisk $408 mill i pluss for året. Under 40% belegg i snitt for året, men dette hadde steget til 70% i desember

Etter flere års lagring planlegger Etihad nå å sette sine A350-1000 maskiner i drift, fra slutten av mars

Litt på siden av trådtittel, men hvorfor har ikke Etihad noen ruter til Skandinavia? Ser jo at deres lokale konkurrenter flyr hit.

Nå flyr de konkurrentene gjerne til Etihads andre destinasjoner, men sånn generelt har jo Etihad et mye mindre nettverk enn de to andre

Ny sjef, og "ny" eier for Etihad ved at eierskapet overføres fra å være direkte eiet av staten til et av deres "oljefond". Forresten samme fond som blant annet eier 51% av Wizzair Abu Dhabi

Nysjefen er Antonoaldo Neves, som kommer fra TAP

Virker som deres første A321neo er på vei, ved at de skal lease en brukt maskin fra AerCap som tidligere fløy for Bamboo Airlines, i følge planespotters.net.

Første skal være levert, ser planespotters.net har listet 6 maskiner, alle ex-Bamboo, hvor 4 av dem startet sin karriere hos Primera. Litt ymse konfigurasjoner på disse maskiene, så usikker hva Etihad planlegger her på kort sikt.

5 nye interline partnere, hvor greske Sky Express vel er de største. I tillegg blir det nye partnere fra Afganistan, Myanmar, Sør Korea og Aurstralia, men henholdvise Kam Air, Myanmar Airways, Jeju Air og Rex Airlines.

Ellers kommer de første A321LR mot midten av neste år.
