SAS SAS' trafikktall for juni 2013

Pressemelding:

Quote:

- Trafiktalen under juni utvecklades enligt våra förväntningar.

Trafikkrapport:

Quote:
SAS Group's June 2013 traffic figures

SAS Group’s capacity (ASK) was up by 3.8% and the
Group’s traffic (RPK) increased by 2.8%.
• The SAS Group’s load factor decreased by 0.8 p.u. to
79.5%.
SAS Group carried 2.7 million passengers in June, up 1.6%.

Group market trends, RASK and yield development
The traffic continued to develop as expected with particularly
strong development on intercontinental and European routes.
Currency adjusted yield (Scandinavian Airlines) and RASK in
May 2013 was down 1.3% and 4.7% respectively versus
previous year in line with guidance. In June 2013 the change
in yield and RASK vs. last year is expected to be close to
unchanged.

Overall, the market develops according to SAS expectations.
Following the launch of SAS Go & Plus, SAS has had a
positive sales development, indicating a positive response
amongst customers to the new service concept.

Despite that yield has been somewhat more stable during the
first half of the 2012/13 financial year, the over capacity on
certain routes adds uncertainty and the SAS Group continues
to expect a negative trend for the RASK for the full year
2012/13. Throughout the summer, SAS will commence flights
on 32 new routes and in total plans to open 52 new routes
during calendar year 2013. The capacity increase for the fiscal
year 2012/13 is expected to be approximately 5-6%.

SAS Group product and news update
SAS and Airbus have signed a memorandum of
understanding for the order of 8 Airbus A350 and 4 Airbus
A330 Enhanced. SAS will also upgrade passenger cabins
on the existing A330/A340 fleet.
• From autumn 2013/14, SAS will commence nonstop flight to
the German city of Bremen and the oil region of Humberside
in northern England from Copenhagen.
Scandinavian Airlines traffic development
• Number of passengers increased by 0.9% to 2.4 million.
• Traffic increased by 2.6% and capacity was up 3.6%.
• The load factor was 80.1%, down 0.8 p.u.

Traffic increased according to expectations in June, generally
as longer routes grew stronger as a result of new routes.
Traffic on intercontinental routes increased 3.8% and grew
strongly on the USA. The European/Intrascandinavian traffic
increased 2% with strongest growth to/from the Swedish
market. On domestic routes, traffic was up 1.9 with improved
load factors as capacity was down 0.6% due to reduction on
Finnish domestic routes.

Widerøe traffic development
Widerøe carried 260,000 passengers in June, up 8.8% vs. last
year. The overall load factor was down 0.3 p.u. to 61.0%.
Capacity was increased by 9% due to more frequencies on
existing routes and due to last year’s strike by security
personnel at several airports. The traffic growth was primarily
driven by domestic routes.
