Lufthansa gjennomfører kraftige kutt i BMI for å gjøre dem lønnsomme igjen. Blant kuttene er

- Flåten reduseres fra 39 til 30 fly, og 2 av 3 330-maskiner skal ut av flåten
- Antall ansatte reduseres med 600
- LHR-BRU overføres til SN
- LHR-AMS/TLV/KBP/ALP legges ned
