CO completes Boeing 757-200 winglet installation
Heisann, da var vi ferdige med B757-200...:clap
Quote:
CO will complete the installation of fuel-saving winglets to its entire fleet of Boeing 757-200 aircraft on Thursday, Dec. 7, which is six months ahead of the original schedule. The new winglets on the 41 aircraft can reduce fuel consumption by up to five percent.
“I am very proud of the entire team, and we will be able to see the improvements to fuel efficiency immediately, as these final aircraft are placed into service this month,” said Tech Ops and Purchasing Sr. VP Dante Marzetta. “I especially want to thank the efforts of Purchasing, Technical Planning and Fleet Management for their contributions to this project.”
When CO first began installing winglets, the installation was between 32 and 45 days, and Supplier-based Maintenance and Engineering were able to streamline the installation down to only 15 days.
Work begins in 2007 to install winglets on CO’s Boeing 737-500 and 737-300 aircraft.
