Airbus vil innrede A380 for 11 i bredden

Ved å løfte gulvet litt får man utnyttet bredden på flykroppen helt og kan sette inn et ekstra sete i bredden på A380. Dette gjør at de som i dag ikke har konfigurert for maks antall seter kan få plass til flere economy-passasjerer. Ser ut som de får til 3+5+3 på main-deck.

Airbus is to offer A380 customers the option of an 11-abreast economy-class layout using 18in-wide (46cm) seats made possible by raising the floor 2in on the main deck of the superjumbo.

Flightglobal, an aviation news website, reported last month that the aircraft manufacturer is to give airlines the option of an extra 35 to 40 economy class seats on board its biggest model. The innovation will be made possible by raising the floor two inches in the widest part of the aircraft.
