A US military helicopter crashed in western Germany today.
Reuters said German media had reported two people had been killed and that the aircraft, a Black Hawk helicopter, had three people on board.

The aircraft went down in woods near the A67 highway between Viernheim and Lorsch, south of Frankfurt, a police spokesman said.

The US Army in Europe could not immediately give any details on the incident or confirm the type of helicopter involved.
