Announced strike at several German airports on 27th March 2014
Trade union ver.di has announced a strike at several German airports for Thursday, 27th March 2014.

We deeply regret that the strike of the trade union ver.di will likely have a large-scale impact on the flight timetable of Lufthansa and Germanwings at several German airports on Thursday, 27th March 2014. Should, as reported in the media, airport employees in fact lay down their work this Thursday, a large number of flights until afternoon would need to be cancelled.

Detailed information cannot yet be provided to our passengers due to the unclear statements from ver.di’s strike leaders regarding the exact timeframe and scope of the strike measures. Details about possible cancellations, etc. will be made available to our passengers by tomorrow noon (Wednesday, 26.3.14) at the latest.
We will also do everything in our power to minimize the impact on our passengers. Measurements are currently being implemented at Lufthansa in order to provide the best-possible service for our customers on Thursday.

Passengers holding a Lufthansa/SWISS/Austrian Airlines or Brussels Ticket for flights from/to/via Frankfurt, Munich, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Hannover and Stuttgart on 27th March 2014 can rebook their tickets once free of charge online via My Bookings.
