Lufthansa cancels three A380-800 orders
08OCT2013Lufthansa(LH,Frankfurt Int'l) has cancelled three options forA380-800s reducing its order book from 17 to 14 Rolls-Royce Trent 900 powered A38-800s. Lufthansa originally signed for 15 A380s and agreed to add another pair in 2011. Only 2 weeks ago, Lufthansa placed a split $19 billion dollar order with Boeing and Airbus and ordered 34 Boeing 777-9Xs and 25A350-900s. It currently operates tenA380-800s already from Frankfurt toBeijing Capital,Houston Intc'l,Johannesburg O.R. Tambo,Miami Int'l,San Francisco, CA,Shanghai Pudong,Singapore ChangiandTokyo Narita.
