Default Re: Mot B787 First Flight som planlagt

Det ble holdt en større pressebriefing i går .. interessant lesning.

Quote:
About 50 journalists, including photographers and cameramen, are gathering here at Boeing's Bomarc building, and more are expected to listen via conference call. Several journalists are from outside of the U.S.

The company will go over what certification and flight test is all about. Boeing is not expected to announce anything new -- but considering that the last time Boeing flew a new airplane was in 1994, the details about flight test will be new to many people. (Including me.)

First flight of the 787 has been delayed by nearly two years and is expected to occur by the end of June. About 50 percent of the plane is made of composite materials, rather than aluminum -- marking a first for the commercial aviation industry.
