Default Re: Farnborough: FlyDubai Announce Next-Generation 737 Order

Og her er det som står på intranet om MAS sin ordre:

More airplanes for MAS, new MoA signed in Farnborough

Malaysia Airlines announced that we have ordered 35 Next-Generation 737-800 airplanes. The order is valued at more than $2.6 billion. The airline has
also acquired purchase rights for an additional 20 Next-Generation 737-800s which will replace our existing 737-400 fleet, allowing us to expand to points which were not economically viable.

The announcement was made on 16 July 2008 at the Farnborough International Air Show by Boeing Commercial Airplanes President and CEO Scott
Carson and Executive director and Chief Financial Officer, Tengku Dato' Azmil Zahruddin.

At the same time, MAS Aerospace Engineering (MAE) and the Italian Alenia Aeronavali signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) allowing both
parties to establish a comprehensive aircraft Maintenance and Repair Overhaul (MRO) company in Malaysia. Alenia Aeronavali was represented by
their Chief Executive Officer, Gennaro Di Capua while MAS was represented by MAE Managing Director, Mohd Roslan Ismail at the signing
Ceremony.

Both events were witnessed by Minister of Transport, Datuk Ong Tee Keat and Chairman, Tan Sri Dr Munir Majid.
