Default Janne Carlzon: SAS tilbake i 1980

Fant ingen avisomtaler, men dette er sakset fra A.net. Mener aa huske at jeg skrev noe lignende for ikke lenge siden ..

Quote:
In a speech given this morning at the Bella Center in Copenhagen, former CEO of SAS, Jan Carlzon, said that in his view SAS is back at square one, where the airline was in 1980.

His argument is, that when he started there back then, SAS had (on intra-European) a first class only booked by SAS managers and a few Scandinavian top CEOs, and an economy section where full Y paying pax were mixed with people buying deeply discounted tourist fares. To combat this, Carlzon dropped the first class, and instead created EuroClass, where the previously full-paying Y-pax were seated along with the SAS managers. Discounted passengers were seated further back in a seperate cabin.

Now, his argument is that SAS is back to square one today: Business Class, only booked by SK managers etc., and an economy section where full-paying (economy flex) guests are mixed with people travelling on discounted Snowflake tickets, giving the Flex passengers a feeling of being ripped off. Obviously, Carlzon believes that this is a recipe for failure for SAS.
