Ikke lenge etter satellitten på Terminal 2 ble bygget, planlegger flyplassen i Munchen og Lufthansa utvide denne ytterligere, ved å lage en T-form av terminalen, og dermed øke passasjerkapasiteten på satellitterminalen fra 11 til 21 millioner passasjerer. Foreløpig kun en intensjonavtale, så detaljene er fortsatt ikke på plass
