Finnish Aviation Museum and Helsinki-based travel agent Traveller Oy (Inc.) offer a unique chance to fly on an oldest airworthy passenger jet in the world on its very last trip. Finnish Aviation Museum is purchasing this 50-year old DC-9-14 and will have it ferried from its current Nairobi base to Helsinki airport in Helsinki, Finland.
The ferry flight from Nairobi will depart on Saturday 28 November and will be flown via Aswan, Egypt to Venice. On the morning of the 29th, the aircraft, currently registred 5Y-XXA will begin its final flight to Helsinki where it will be preserved. This will be the final flight of this aircraft, which will join the collection of Finnish Aviation Museum.
