Dear Customer,

The Management Board of Estonian Air decided to cease operations starting from 8 November followed by a decision of the European Commission according to which Estonian Air has received State aid which is incompatible with the internal market and must be paid back.

Regarding the above we are sending instructions for passengers holding Estonian Air tickets for flights departing from 8 November and onwards.

Passengers who have booked their tickets on Estonian Air flights departing from 8 November until 10 November 2015

Passengers who are holding Estonian Air tickets (ticket number starts with 960) bought from Estonian Air or travel agency will be automatically rebooked on a flight of another airline. A confirmation will be sent to the passenger via SMS or e-mail. Passengers who have not received a new ticket at the latest 6 hours before the departure must contact for assistance by phone +372 6266 234 or rebook@estravel.ee.

Passengers shall be offered alternative return flight over the entire route (ticket number starts with 960). Flights will be rebooked in order in which they depart, i.e flights departing on 8 November will be served first.

Passengers shall be offered alternative flights most similar to the original route. Unfortunately it is not possible to accommodate special requests or preferences regarding alternative routes or airlines.

Estonian Air tickets booked by other airlines (ticket number does not start with 960) are still valid, and these airlines (e.g. SAS, KLM, Brussels Airlines, etc) must offer refund, or most probably they will rebook passengers on alternative flights. Passengers are requested to contact the airline where they have booked their tickets.

Passengers who are in a transit zone in a given moment are requested to apply for assistance at a transit counter. Transit passengers are requested to pay attention to their baggage as there may be a need to pick up baggage at the transit airport for checking it in on a new flight.

Guidelines for passengers who have booked their tickets on Estonian Air flights departing from 11 November 2015 and onwards.

Passengers holding Estonian Air tickets (ticket number starts with 960) for flights departing on or after 11 November 2015, will get a refund. Passengers are requested to complete a refund application via www.estonian-air.com, repayment starts from 11 December 2015.

Passengers are not rebooked on other airlines’ flights, and they have to book new tickets at their own cost.
